Cricket Biography:

Brandon is an ambitious and positive opening or top order batsman from Perth. His cricketing career started at a young age back in South Africa before moving to Australia in 2008. Brandon only really started to flourish as a batsman when he became older and more experienced, with the transition into a cricketing school in 2012 to Kent St SHS, where he has made countless runs at the top of the order. He also has 4 premiers under his belt, leading the Leeming Spartans to a Grand Final win in 2010/11, Kim Hughes Shield 1st XI for Kent St and two flags for South Perth (SPCC) u17s. Brandon had a tremendous finish to his second year of 17s notching up 254 runs in the last 3 games. He made an unbeaten 162 against Bayswater Morely in the Elimination final, following it up with 51 in the Semi-final against Gosnells and then an then a quick-fire 41 in the Grand Final to lead his team to victory against Rockingham Mandurah bringing home the flag once again. He finished the season with 450 runs at an average of 32.2
Brandon has recently moved clubs to Gosnells District Cricket Club (GCC) and has performed well in 2nd Grade, with his outstanding work ethic and commitment at training and in games he made his 1st Grade debut on the 18th of October 2014 at age 17. Brandon’s motto is “Natural talent can only take you so far, it’s your discipline and work ethic that determines how great you really are.” He trains hard at every training session that he attends (which is most) striving to be one of the best fielders in his new club, he might have a chance with his athletic ability in the field, putting his body on the line for his team.

Brandon wants to play the highest level of cricket that he can, and he believes by playing a season in the UK just might help him out tremendously, developing his game for the better. Brandon has a great personality and gets along with everyone, bringing a comedic attitude into the club where everybody can have a laugh. He is open to any opportunities he can get and will grab it with both hands ie. Work, coaching, playing facilities etc.  Brandon doesn’t disappoint his coaches or players and always tries his best, and is very passionate about the game.
