Jacob has represented his state throughout his junior career playing U/13s U/15s, U/17s and U/19s for Victoria. Jacob made his premier 1st debut at 17 at the end of the 2013-14 season after keeping and opening the batting in the seconds for 3 years and in 2015/16 has established himself within the 1st XI as a middle order batsman. Jacob was appointed captain of the Victorian U/19 Metro side to play in the Australian National Championships for the 2015/16 season
Jacob was in and out of the 1st Grade side for most of the 2014/15 season but the 2015/16 season has seen Jacob get an extended run in the 1st grade team. He is currently playing alongside former Aussie players David Hussey & Bryce McGain in the Prahran 1st Grade side. This season he has played five 1st grade games with his best performance coming against the star studded St Kilda side where he scored 50 in a winning run chase in attack that consisted of 2 Aussie international spinners in James Muirhead and Michael Beer.
Jacob has previously spent 3 weeks in the UK playing for his school 2014, Jacob made 300 runs at 50 playing against 1st XI sides from various school.
Jacob has coached at his local junior club for the past 5 years and is coaching representative cricket in the 2015/16 season. Jacob has filled several roles at his local club co-ordinating the U/13 grade consisting of 13 teams and running school holiday cricket camps for up to 100 people.
Jacob finished school in 2014, and started university in 2015 but is keen to take a gap year in 2016 and play cricket in the UK in an attempt to push for higher honours upon his return to home.
Jacob really is an exciting cricketer and having had a taste of playing a decent amount of 1st grade cricket for a lad so young, he is keen to travel to the UK and take his game to the next level. He understands that he might not be able to keep wicket due to clubs already having local keepers in place but he is keen to get involved within the junior coaching structure.
Jacob has aspirations to push on and play State Cricket in the coming years. He will be an excellent addition to any club
